Q. It’s not “sweater weather” where I live. Can I still participate?

A. Yes! The challenge is geared towards those who are currently experiencing autumn and the transition into cooler months. However, many of the activities can be enjoyed at any time of the year or adapted to suit the season you're currently in. So whether you're in the southern hemisphere and approaching summer, or if you're in a location where "sweater weather" is more of a state of mind than a reflection of the actual weather, you are still more than welcome to participate!

 

Q. I'm already a State of Self Member. Can I still win?

A. Yes! If your name is drawn as one of the winners, you will receive an additional 12 months of State of Self access, which will be added to the end of your current Membership term. This means you can continue enjoying the benefits of your membership for an extended period, courtesy of your win in the challenge.

 

Q. How do you get an entry to win?

A. To be eligible to win the challenge, you need to complete the following four steps:

  1. Sign up for the Challenge using the provided form above.
  2. Follow @amandasimplywell on Instagram.
  3. Invite at least one friend to join the Challenge*.
  4. Complete a minimum of three of the seasonal activities outlined in the challenge.

And as a bonus, keep in mind that every additional friend you invite not only helps spread the fun but also adds an EXTRA entry for you to win! So, the more friends you invite, the better your chances become. Good luck!

 

Q. Can I win without inviting a friend?

A. Unfortunately, no. Inviting someone to join you in the challenge is an integral part of the experience. This challenge is designed to foster a sense of community and connection. To be entered to win, invite anyone you'd like to share this journey with — your partner, your mom, your old college roommate, that friend who's the face mask selfie queen, and anyone else who you think would enjoy it! You can spread the word on Instagram, via email, or through any means you prefer.

 

Q. I invited a friend, but they forgot to enter my name on the sign-up form. What do I do?

A. No worries at all! We've got you covered. Just send us a quick email at [email protected] with the subject line "Sweater Weather Wellness Challenge," and let us know. We'll make sure to add your information to ensure you're still entered for a chance to win. Your dedication to the challenge is much appreciated, and we want to make sure you get the credit you deserve!

 

Q. Do you have to “prove” you completed 3 activities?

A. Ah, we can't quite pull off the whole "Big Brother" thing to officially check if you've done three activities. But since the suggested activities range from bite-sized to more substantial, from individual to group activities, and from quick to more leisurely, we trust that you'll find something that will suit your needs. We're trusting you to honor your commitment to yourself, and we're working on the honor system, folks!

That said, if you do want to share which activities you complete, we'd love to see them! Share your experiences on Instagram and tag us @amandasimplywell so that we can celebrate with you!

 

Q. Do I have to complete the activity exactly as it’s described in the guide?

A. No! Feel free to adjust the activities to suit your needs, especially if you’re not currently experiencing autumn weather. There are many adjustments that can be made while still retaining the “spirit” of the activity and the boost to your well-being.

 

Q. When will the winners be drawn?

A. The final day to enter the challenge is December 1st, 2023. Winners will be announced on the Instagram stories of @amandasimplywell on Monday, December 4th. If your name is selected, you'll also receive an email with more information about claiming your prize!
